I Will Choose To Believe

A Poem

I will choose to believe.

I will choose to believe that a smile is the most powerful form of communcation.
I will choose to believe that most people are kind.
I will choose to believe that nothing that is lost cannot be found.

I will choose to believe.

I will choose to believe that with patience, progress is inevitable. 
I will choose to believe that with practice, courage is earned. 
I will choose to believe that with persistence, anything is achievable.  
 
I will choose to believe.  

I will choose to believe that no decision is a bad decision. 
That I am always where I am meant to be. 
That inspired mistakes are worth making.   

I will choose to believe that on the days when I have less than my best, 
but I give what I have anyway, 
then I have given enough.

I will choose to believe that a graceful state of conscious bliss awaits those who surrender to the mysterious happenings to the universe. 
Those who ask questions without demanding answers. 
Those who spread positivity instead of fear. 

I will choose to believe.

I know that I am above nothing and better than no one.
I know that I am small.
I know that I will be forgotten.

Yet I will choose to believe that this life is my life.
That my life is worth it. 
That doubt is futile and love is all around me.

I too am not a bit tamed. I too am untranslatable. I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world

And I will choose to believe.
